Privacy policy

When you subscribe to email updates, we collect the email address and any other information you choose to provide. Klaviyo records the signup source, consent status and time, along with technical information such as your IP address and browser. Our signup pop-up offers email subscriptions and a separate optional SMS step. The footer signup is email only.

If you separately opt in to text messages, we collect your mobile number, SMS consent record, messaging preferences and message activity. We also receive information you send when asking for help.

Shopify processes checkout and payments. Order information can include your name, email, phone number, billing and shipping addresses, purchased items, payment confirmation, and order or refund status. Payment details are handled by Shopify and its payment providers; our website does not collect or store your full card number.

Our hosting and service providers process device, browser, network and usage information needed to serve the website, diagnose problems and protect their services.

We use information to run and improve the website, process orders, arrange delivery, answer questions, administer purchased benefits and send the updates you request. We also use it to keep consent records, prevent misuse, resolve disputes and meet legal obligations.

Email and SMS subscriptions are separate. Giving us a phone number for an order or subscribing to email does not by itself authorize marketing text messages.

We use Vercel for website hosting, Shopify for commerce and payments, and Klaviyo for signup forms and messaging. They process information to provide these services. Order information needed for delivery may also be provided to fulfillment and shipping services. For a promotion, information required to administer entries or verify a winner may be provided to Realtime Media under that promotion’s official rules.

Shopify Network Intelligence is enabled for our store. Shopify may combine information about interactions with our store, other merchants and Shopify to improve services, personalization and advertising. Shopify is responsible for that processing. Read the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy and use the Shopify Privacy Portal for choices about Shopify’s use of your information.

We may disclose information when required by law, to respond to valid legal requests, to protect people or our services, or as part of a business transfer subject to applicable privacy obligations.

We use mobile numbers and SMS consent records to operate the EG Builds text-message program and honor your messaging choices. We do not sell phone numbers collected for this program or share its SMS opt-in data or consent with other businesses for their marketing. We share this information only with providers that support the messaging service, such as Klaviyo and wireless carriers, and when legally required.

If we offer opted-in cart reminders, cart cookies and checkout activity help identify an unfinished order and determine when a reminder is appropriate. Text-message enrollment is optional and is not a condition of purchase. See our SMS terms for consent, message costs, support and opt-out details.

Cart cookies remember the cart identifier. Klaviyo’s signup forms and related technologies can recognize visits and record signup activity. Klaviyo’s script also records the pages and products viewed and the items added to the cart, so we can send cart and browsing reminders to people who’ve subscribed. Shopify also uses cookies and similar technologies in its checkout and services. Browser controls can restrict cookies or scripts, although some site functions may then be unavailable.

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the website: which pages and products are viewed, what is added to or removed from the cart, when the cart is opened and when checkout is started. Google sets cookies to do this. When an order is paid, our server reports the purchase to Google Analytics: the order number, the items bought and the amounts, with the same pseudonymous analytics identifier from those cookies. We don’t send your name, email, phone number, address or any other contact details. We don’t use Google Analytics for advertising. To stop Google Analytics from recording your visits, install Google’s opt-out browser add-on. The add-on works in your browser, so a paid order is still reported from our server; when your browser has no Google Analytics cookie, the report carries no identifier that links it to your visits. Privacy controls offered in Shopify services apply there. Use the unsubscribe link in a marketing email to stop email updates. Separate order or service emails may still be sent when needed. Reply STOP to an EG Builds text message to leave the SMS program.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your information, or to opt out of certain uses. Contact us to make a request or raise a privacy concern. We may need to verify your identity or an authorized agent’s authority. Requests are handled subject to applicable law, including required records and permitted exceptions. You may also contact the relevant privacy regulator.

Information is kept as needed to provide services, maintain consent and transaction records, comply with legal requirements and resolve disputes. The appropriate period depends on the information and its purpose. Our providers may process information in the United States or other countries. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure; avoid sending payment details or other sensitive information by email.

Our services are intended for adults, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. A parent or guardian who believes a child has provided information can contact us to request its removal. Eligibility for any promotion is set by its official rules.
